Who you are buying from

You are buying from the store. The store sets the prices, holds the stock and is responsible for your order.

What you can buy here

In-stock hardware and building supplies, for pickup at the store counter. We do not deliver and we do not ship.

Windows, doors, siding and roofing are quoted, not sold online. Ask us for a quote and we will work it out with you.

Prices and tax

Prices are in Canadian dollars. HST is added and shown as its own line before you pay, and the total you see at checkout is the total you pay.

Paying

You pay when you place the order, by card, on a secure payment page operated by Stripe, our payment processor. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach this website.

Your order confirmation

We email you a confirmation as soon as your payment goes through. Keep it: the order number is what you bring to the counter. If it does not arrive, call us; do not assume the order failed.

Picking your order up

Bring the order number and come as the person who placed the order, or tell us in advance who will be collecting it. We will email or phone you when it is ready. [CONFIRM WITH OWNER]

In stock means in stock when you ordered, and we check

If we cannot supply something you paid for, we refund that line in full and tell you the same day. We will not substitute a different product without asking you first.

If you do not collect your order

Orders not collected within seven days are cancelled and refunded in full. [CONFIRM WITH OWNER: seven days is the proposed default]. Call us before the seven days are up if you need longer.

Changing or cancelling an order

Call us before you collect and we will cancel the order and refund you in full.

Returns and warranty

[CONFIRM WITH OWNER: the store's returns policy] applies to anything bought through this website exactly as it does at the counter. Manufacturers' warranties come with the products that carry them.

Mistakes

If a price or description on this website is obviously wrong, we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than hold you to it.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and Canada, and nothing in them takes away any right you have under Ontario's consumer protection law.

Taking your data and code with you

You own your catalogue and order data. Download it any time from /admin (products CSV, orders CSV), and the site's code is yours on request.
